A ranking of the best positioned investment banks for 2010 places JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs and Barclays Capital in the top spots.

Here is the City, an online news service, ranked the banks based on the strength of the firms balance sheets, their ability to pay market rate compensation, and the bench strength of their staff.
