AIRMIC says all the leading brokers are now its partners

Aon has joined AIRMIC’s broker partnership scheme.

AIRMIC said the decision means that all the leading insurance brokers have partnered with the association.

‘It’s tremendous news that we have Aon on board,’ said chief executive John Hurrell. ‘We value having the support and advice of all the big hitters as we square up to some pretty demanding market challenges.’

Hurrell cited the planned claims index and the effects of the current financial climate as examples of areas where Aon’s support would add value.

Ken MacDonald, CEO of Aon Global commented: ‘We believe that AIRMIC is proactively seeking to influence the risk and insurance agenda in the UK on behalf of its members, at a time of great volatility for clients and markets. Aon is proud to provide our resources and backing to AIRMIC at this critical juncture.’

Under the scheme, leading market players support AIRMIC in recognition of its pivotal position as a representative body. As well as financial backing, the partners provide the association and its members with expertise, including briefings on insurance and risk management topics.

Other AIRMIC partners are ACE, AIG, Allianz, AXA, Crawford, HSBC Brokers, Lockton, Marsh, RSA, Willis, XL and Zurich.
