Sue Copeman announces the launch of the StrategicRISK 2005 European Risk Management Awards

Are you proud of what you or your organisation have achieved this year? If so, don't be modest! Entering the StrategicRISK 2005 European Risk Management Awards provides the opportunity to receive wider recognition of your achievements and to share your expertise for the benefit of the European risk management community as a whole.

This year's awards showed that many risk management professionals demonstrate an outstanding degree of creativity, expertise and experience, as well as a thorough appreciation of the risks facing an organisation. We expect the entries we receive for the 2005 awards to prove no less inspiring.

Our awards this year are divided into three categories. The first is for risk professionals and their organisations that can demonstrate significant achievements in aspects of risk management or in dealing with risk management as a whole. The second category rewards those organisations that have identified a specific risk management requirement and have been able to provide an outstanding product or service to meet this need. Thirdly, we are asking an independent research agency to interview risk managers throughout Europe for the organisations they consider are the best European business insurer and best European commercial broker.

The awards offer risk management professionals the opportunity to demonstrate how they have gone about achieving, or perhaps even exceeding, their objectives. And the gala dinner and awards presentation on 29 April will be a memorable occasion when you can celebrate the achievements of those who have contributed to this sum of knowledge.

How to enter

Of all the different business sectors, risk management is one that is changing most rapidly so risk professionals face a particular challenge in not just keeping pace but actually getting ahead of the game. The 2004 awards showed that there is no shortage of skills or innovation, either among risk managers or those who work with them.

If you can demonstrate similar prowess during this year, we invite you to submit a 500-750 word entry in the appropriate category or categories. Entrants for the second category can also submit up to 200 words of additional material, which can include client testimonials.

All entries must relate to projects carried out wholly or mostly during 2004 and must be received by the closing date - 9 February 2005. All finalists will be notified by 9 March 2005. Good luck!
