Following a series of new appointments at the broker’s newly formed US unit, Pearce is the latest to join JLT
JLT Group has appointed Jim Pearce as chair of its new US Specialty Insurance Services.
Pearce’s appointment follows news of a €63.25m net investment expansion plan for JLT Group’s US specialty arm and the appointments of Michael Rice as chief executive and Patrick Donnelly as president.
Commenting on Pearce’s appointment, Rice said: “Jim has a proven track record in the US market as an entrepreneurial and passionate client advocate and people leader.
“His appointment is a significant step in our plans to build a US specialty business of scale and relevance that adds real client choice to the market and empowers its people. I very much look forward to working with him.”
Most recently, Pearce was chairman of Marsh’s Global Industry Practices, a role in which he provided leadership to Marsh’s aviation, construction, energy, infrastructure, marine, mining, power and rail practices. Previously, he worked at JLT USA and is recognised as one of the world’s leading experts in the energy insurance sector.
