New tool could reduce cyber threat investigations by up 75%

MPs call for war on technology crime

BAE Systems Detica has launched a cyber security tool that claims to reduce cyber threat investigations by up to 75%.

The new tool, CyberReveal, processes billions of data records and identifies and prioritises the security events that could have the biggest impact.

It incorporates a system that allows analysts a single view of their IT network activity.

The new system comprises three core components: platform – a scalable platform that analyses data and identifies the high priority security events; analytics behaviour-based threat detection; and investigator a toolset providing visualisations of prioritised alerts.

BAE Systems Detica managing director Martin Sutherland said: “This is the first time we’re making our technology available for companies that have their own analysts. CyberReveal provides a unique ‘single pane of glass’ for analysts by linking security event data information from across the entire organisation. It can show them where they need to focus their attention and piece together disparate data to give them the big picture – critical to defending against the most advanced and insidious cyber threats.”
