Businesses are buying insurance in different ways and are demanding cover for new and emerging risks, says Phil Sharpe, chief operating officer UK and Ireland at ACE.

In a video interview, Sharpe outlined purchasing trends and demands of new insurance buyers.

He says: “New clients of today are buying their insurance in a different way. They are looking at different risks around the world and the challenges that risk managers are facing today and in the future.

“For example environmental, cyber and terrorism, are very much at the forefront of our clients’ minds and, of course, our clients want access to data. [New clients] are growing up in an interconnected world and so we are supplying them with up-to-date technology that enables them to have 24/7 access.”
