XL appoints new management team for European regions

XL Group has appointed a new management team in its Austria and Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) division.

Two new regional managers will head the CEE division.

Eduard Billovits has been promoted as regional manager Austria and CEE. He will lead on the insurance activities in Austria and CEE, and will report to Kadidja Sinz, regional leader continental Europe, distribution and network.

Billovits brings over 25 years of insurance experience and was most recently XL underwriting manager, casualty, for Austria and CEE.

Erich Bentz has been promoted to the newly created role of regional manager CEE, where he will be responsible for building XL’s CEE operations.

Bentz joined XL in 2009 as business development manager Russia/Commonwealth of Independent States, and will report to Billovits.

The new management team will be based in Vienna.

Sinz said: “We very pleased to count on the new leadership team to drive the development of our Austria and CEE operation, which is a strong pillar of our business in Europe.

“It is especially satisfying to be able to give internal talents such as Eduard and Erich the chance to take on more responsibility and move forward in their careers.”
