Zurich Australia hires two risk managers in CRM push

The Australian additions lauded as ‘evidence of commitment’ by insurer

Zurich Financial Services Australia has appointed two global relationship leaders in its commercial insurance business, citing the importance they will play in the firm’s customer relationship management (CRM) plans.

The additions of David Haberland and Jane Holling are evidence of “commitment to customers and brokers”, said Rajbir Nanra, Zurich Australia and New Zealand, chief executive officer, general insurance.

“CRM is one of the key areas that differentiate Zurich in the market place and these new appointments reaffirm our leadership and commitment to this area,” said Nanra.

“The objective of our CRM team is to ensure that we as a collective provide our brokers and customers with the very best that Zurich has to offer.”

Haberland boasts 25 years of experience and joins Zurich from Iron Mountain where he was the global vice president and chief risk officer. Prior to that he held the same role with Recall.

Holling joins Zurich from Tabcorp where she was the risk and compliance manager, which included managing the insurance program. Previously Holling held senior roles with the likes of Computershare and Telstra. She has also been a director of the board for the Risk Management Institute of Australia (RIMA).

“These new appointments once again highlight Zurich’s focus on growth and investment in the market. We are committed to attracting the very best talent to support our brokers and customers,” Steven Ord, chief distribution officer, Zurich Australia and New Zealand.

Haberland will be based in Sydney, while Holling will be in Melbourne.
