Becomes first international war risks mutual

Members of the UK War Risks Club have been advised that the mutual will, from the 20 February 2009, open its doors to an international membership.

In a statement the London based mutual insurer said: ‘We will be able to consider companies from outside the UK and with no previous link to the Club. This will make the Club the first international war risks mutual.’

‘The changes will benefit existing members and new members alike: the membership base will be broader, spreading risk, and we will build on our recent growth to make the Club stronger.’
