Female traveller risk map highlights duty of care blind spots

A new female travellers risk map from Safeture and Riskline identifies 29 high-concern countries and highlights continued gaps in how employers address gender-specific travel risks.

Female solo travel has surged by more than 60% over the past three years and now accounts for 71% of all solo trips worldwide. At the same time, women reporting anxiety about travel rose from 64% to 70% in a year.

That contrast sits behind the 2026 Female Travellers Risk Map from Safeture and Riskline, which identifies 29 countries as “high concern” for women and argues for a more tailored approach to travel risk.
