skills is one of the key risks (it has not changed much pre- and post- globalisation, and the rise of emerging markets) but I feel the risk is greater within the company's internal decision making processes and their ability to flex with the changing external environment. A skill shortage can always be paid for and bought in. The bigger the company, the higher the risk of bad decison making, especially under conditions of uncertainty.
