He has become president of the International Federation of Risk and Insurance Management Associations
Franck Baron has confirmed that he will step down as leader of the Pan-Asia Risk & Insurance Management Association (Parima) later this year after a decade in the role.
The group general manager, Risk & Insurance at International SOS, is Parima’s founding chairman. On LinkedIN he announced he was taking on his next challenge as president of the International Federation of Risk and Insurance Management Associations (IFRIMA).
”After ten incredible years, I will be stepping down as Parima chairman at the end of the year,” he said. ”This year and onwards, I will focus on developing IFRIMA to become a focal point for the international risk and insurance management community.
He added that his time with Parima had been among the most rewarding of his career to date and that he had seen it grow “from scratch to an organisation with over 2,500 members in 23 APAC countries”.
Baron added he would remain an active executive member of the risk association, despite relinquishing the chairmanship.
“Over the years, I’ve seen tremendous progress as we strive for a better future in APAC for the Risk and Insurance Management industry and community. While I will miss my role on the board, I look forward to what’s in store as Parima enters this new chapter.
“Thanks to the Parima community, all my wonderful colleagues, partners and the Parima team for the trust you’ve placed in me. I look forward to staying in touch in my new role.”
